I too grew up listening to Babes (as you know M) and spent many an angst-ridden teen evening with Kat's screams, Maureen's twangs and Lori's bangs as the soundtrack. Marvellous.
babes in toyland me up! fuckin brilliant!! sweet 69 is ace, i was born then, i doubt its about the year though. this is making me feel young again , its really good to see ya still at it. you rock!!we got some tunes on , but never mind, you make us sound lame! still check us out if ya like!! keep rockin forever!!!! jes
Listened to your tunes(top 5), very slick, the first thing I feel is a vibe that portrays a come to my show feel and you will get your ass rocked. The slow to picked up tempos. You must be great live. Never was in a punk scene, a lot of my skater friends were. Not that I didn't like it, but was to busy with hard rock back in the day., What I really like is that there is more of a rock feel and not a crazy fast explosion. I love riffs... and hooks... I really dig it, sweet 69 is my fav ...Jostel Hason, ,New song up, like to invite you for a listen....... 'mine to lose' ,,,.. a lyrical journey of my past love lost and trials of addiction, peace and much love Jostel
Stupid me didn't realize at the time what a fantastic band Babes inToyland were. Maybe it's because I wanted to get away from progressive (whatever that means) to pop while you just were reintroducing progressive (whatever that means) to what punk had developed to at this point of time. Which would have been one of the paths punk could have gone, but it decided to disintegrate. As with lots of cool inventions your music presumably was too futuristic to be picked up by some kind of a wave.
These tunes bring back so many great memories......like crashing on Lori's floor sometime in the early '90s.....and her cats......I was SO innocent then............
